Any 944's with 968 style window frame paint job?
Just wondering who here has the part of the window frame on the door between the front and rear window painted like how it came on the 968. How does it look on a 944? Ive seen it on a members 951 and it looks good but he has many many other exterior mods which help to add to the look.

I dunno about you but the fact that that piece is black is perfect. Gives you somewhere to push against when closing the door. I'm not sure but I'd be willing to bet (ask the 968 guys) that's one of the places that gets VERY prone to fingerprints, wear, scratches, etc. if painted with anything other than the matte black.

IMHO I think the black trim compliments the openings for glass better than a painted vertical line, especially with tinted windows. A 'same color' vertical bar on a lighter car looks 'sedanish' and just seems to break the visual flow of an otherwise perfect 944 profile.

I agree (I think). It looks good on the silver car, but I didn't like the look on the red. Just a personal opinion - everyone's free to disagree or agree. Mine definately needs to be painted though.

Both cars are drop dead sexy, but I agree w/ KuHL. I don't see a need to draw attention to that part of the car and breakup the window silhouette
