NA filter updates!!

I've found a good source for aluminum pipe and connectors.
i think I can also get discounts from K&N for the filter.
Ive ordered the filter and it will be here 2 days from now.

ok. basically I need to know if i get a gain from this,be it 2-10hp or if it moves power down lower, will ANYONE be interested?

I also need a bansaw to cut better. an angle grinder is pretty hard to handle. :roflmao:

so, any interest?

jmporsche944 05-04-2005 10:09 PM

Iv'e also been thinking of ways to play with the afm position.
and making a j-boot out of aluminum as well.

looks like i'll have to have to reserve more dyno time. stupid ideas. lol

worst photo shop EVER i know.
but you get th idea. this would put the obstruction at the beginig of the path. making the rest of the trip easier!

So you ended up cutting the headlight bracket off right? Is the headlight still strong enough to stay in place and be still?

Campeck 05-04-2005 10:51 PM

no. i havent cut the bracket off yet.
i need to though! :p

ill report back with that tomrow. After I get the bracket that I chopped off welded back on.

Yep. That and an abrasive cut-off disc (for mild steel - use a carbide tooth blade for aluminum) will work great. I used one to make my intercooler tubing for my turbo G20 and for cutting the tubing to make my rollcage.

how about a circular box miter saw thingy. those that you pull down and it cuts wood. with the right blade it would work right?

Helstrm 05-05-2005 08:48 AM

Yes, with a 10" metal cutting blade it will be like cutting through butter. And I may be interested.

That's exactly what we're talking about.

Killing posts to prove a point.

Campeck 05-05-2005 05:04 PM

ok.
I went and got a grinder type blade. since my car is using steel until i can source aluminum (if I get gains) then I will get a carbide toothed blade.

talk about sparks. holy sheisa!
anyway. MUCH cleaner cuts. and now the pipes fit perfectly with each other. meaning less resistance! woo!

PICS!

Campeck 05-05-2005 07:27 PM

oh. and my next project is definately a j-boot made out of aluminum. with grommets for the connectors.
