Whats a decent 931 worth?

wow that soundsa awesome. i thought i read somewhere(dont know where) that the 924 had a t5 style tranny like in mustangs and camaros...and was "stronger" than a 944 n/a trans. thats a really cool car. im sure there are tons of peopel around you that would love to help work on it.....maybe you can finally have your gtg when you get it.

It looks a little rough to me, and you already have a 951 to feed. I have enough trouble keeping one car running (from a financial standpoint). Be careful...I'd recommend getting a PPI before you buy. That 1000 can turn into 2000 quicker than that thing can get to 60mph!
...well, I guess that "60mph" analogy isn't saying much, but you get the point. haha!

The US market 1980 931 model had a Porsche designed transmission (aka snail shell G31), this was the same trans used in the 924 Carrera GT with a few internal parts uprgraded for the extra GT HP. In 81 and 82 the 931 went to the same trans found in the 944's built up to 85.5.
The car in the pic on the first page here probably has the 944 N/A trans, so it won't have the dogleg shift pattern as mentioned earlier in this thread.

I read the same thing on 924board.org. At any rate i've been really busy the past few days getting moved back into my parents house and I don't have internet yet. I have to give the guy a call sometime soon but just havn't found the time. I'll keep you all updated, and of course a GTG will be in order if and when i get it.
