Selling my really great weekend track 951!!
Hey Guys!
- I've decided to sell my modded 951 - It's an '86 with all the best
factory stuff - '89 brakes/suspension, M030s with 350# coils, 28mm hollow
torsions, S2 transaxle with 80% lock LSD, lightened flywheel, 930S disc,
updated oil pan and pickup, vaccum hoses, PS hose, OPRV. Engine rebuilt 2
years ago, new belts as of this month, Clutch was done at time of rebuild,
S2 trans was gone through this month also when LSD was installed.
It also has a 968 hatch with a late S2 wing, 17" Cup replica street wheels
with a set of 951S Clubsports for track use, Spare Rotors and PF97 pads for
track use, Weltmeister short shift kit, Harrington shifter (all metal in
shift linkage, no poly or rubber), Custom bungs welded on exhaust runners
for EGT sampling, wrapped exhaust, turbo rebuilt 1.5 years ago, all new head
internals 2.5 years ago. Ice Shark Headlight package.
Car is straight, corner balances well. Color scheme is black on black,
paint was buffed last summer. Interior is a 7 out of ten (dash is cracked
up), exterior an 8.5.
Will be replacing clutch hydraulics before sale. Car boosts a strong 14psi
on tweaked factory boost control, looks 100% stock (cause it is, wink, wink)
Car was fast before the S2 transaxle, it is virtually lag-free and
impressively quick now.
Car runs ASP in SCCA solo2, really reliable on the track for DE.
Car will be sold with Sparco Pro 2000s with factory-like upholstery.
It is an enthusiasts' car, leaning toward the track end of the spectrum, but
still a daily driver. Odo broke a 165K almost 2 years ago. I'm a Porsche
tech and rely on this thing daily.
Let me know if any of you are interested. It will go to eBay if no listers
want it. Advertising here and the email lists, then Ebay.

Three Wheelin'
I'm patiently waiting to hear the price as well. I found this 11/04 post, where he mentions an offer of $9500.

I don't know if that price is still relevant though, as I think Keith's done some additional work since then, and the car may have more/less new or trick parts on it.

Thanks, Cliff!
Anyway, the car's price is going down, as goodies are coming off of it already - the S2 Trans with LSD and the front brake setup are going to a customer, to be replaced with stock pieces. Another customer is looking at the hatch/wing and seats (not the Sparcos), but that is still in the discussion stage.
At this point (with stock 86 951 front brakes and transaxle), with the maintenance that has been done, and the Sparcos and 968 hatch still on the car, I'd take 8500.00 for it. Minus the hatch and Sparcos and it would go for 6500.00.
Thanks for the replies! I'll try to get pictures up asap, around our crazy schedule (buiding a couple of racecars for next Friday!)
