Pva is the relief compound that I use one light skim layer will do the trick .

May I suggest reading "Fibergalss & Composite Materials" by Forbes Aird. This is published by HP Books and is pretty recent (1996) as far as refernce books go. I found my copy at one of the big bookstores in the transportation section.

If anyone is serious about laying up their own parts, this book is just about mandatory. I'm betting it'll save you a ton of mistake$.
