Default Testing of an early headlight motor

Gents: I am in the process of replacing my headlights since. My wiring harness install. I have the motor out of the car. Yesterday, I tried testing it, with an extra plug assembly. I connected it with the ground to negative, and I touched my test led to all the other wires. No results. Do I need to connect more than one wire simultaneously to the positive to get any motion from the motor? TIA 😀

Default

You can test the motor itself (not the switching gear or the relay) by applying 12 volts to pin 30 at the relay and ground to the frame of the motor.

Of course, that does not mean that the headlight motor assembly works, for that you will need to have the relay installed and more...
