(white) Carpet Yellowed from Failed Floormats - any success in removal?

Has anyone managed to remove similar stains - or success with a dye that will (almost) match the non-stained carpet areas?

My 968 had original floormats in it in and when I removed them - the carpet underneath was stained from them. Fortunately replacement floormats cover the stains and the carpets are generally in good shape (no wear). I've used a steam machine as well as a carpet agitator to attempt to remove the yellowing so far. (note that I have not attempted to clean the black spots under the now removed seat.)

also - it's amazing how much you can get done before 7am when daylight savings ends and you already wake up far too early...

You could try Resolve Carpet Cleaner.
Works in the house on coffee and wine but those are old stains so I'm not sure how much success you'll have.
The car in my signature use to have the same white carpet. :)

I’ve tried most things and nothing gives. I’ll just live with it and let a new owner try to improve someday

I know it sounds weird but I know people have had success with paints designed for automotive carpet.

Try rubbing a small amount of rubbing alcohol on an area; it actually works for me.
