Well, it is what she wants. True, the 951 is faster, but she wants a convertible and she likes the looks.

Bruce, I would love to do that, but she likes the Boxster more....

There's nothing wrong with a boxster, I personally like them. The only thing, like I said to Darth last nite, is that the 98's (the year they are looking at/for) are a little down on power and the interior is a little more "plasticky" than I would like. I personally would love to have a used boxster someday, maybe even the new Boxster SC in 5 or 6 years..............

The Boxster isn't that bad of a car fun to drive has decent amount of power and handling is great. I find it that the wife wants to sells his car often so who's the chick in this relationship D) jk Go for it if she wants it get a Boxster they are great cars and not any more or less a Porsche then anything else that Porsche has made in it's years from the 356 to the newest Carrera GT.

I hate to admit it, but the boxster is a better handling car then the 951. Not as fast, but it does drive unbelievalbly well. Now if Porsche would just put the GT3 engine in there....

I do have visions of the new Boxster Coupe with a transplanted 3.6L.

I'm no Boxster fan, myself, but FWIW the Boxster S does pack 250HP.

Boxster is a great car, it is also the entry level porsche, which puts a bunch of retards who care about nothing more then the crest in front in the car. that gives the boxster a bad rep. and thats a shame. I've been in a boxster non S out on the track, and I was impressed! I love the feel of how it rotates like its balanced on a pin in the middle of a car. I've driven a couple too. very decent. Now, GT-3 engine, and a bit more work, you're looking at one twisted beast.
Oh, and Porsche-O-phile, please don't say "phat" again.

You mean you can even attempt to work on the Boxster?

From the reports in Pano, few Porsche models are as geared toward "dealer servicing" as the Boxster. It's what you get when you let market appeal instead of racing dictate sportscar design.

The interior is burgundy? Damn. I hate burgundy interiors or else I'd be interested in the car.
