Default Compression tester recommendations

My ancient compression tester finally bit the dust (actually I drove over it). I'm looking for suggestions/sources for a decent kit for both normal quick and leakdown testing. Compatibility with SAE/Metric plug sizes is a must. Any favorites out there?

Thanks

I recently replaced my ancient "handheld" tester with one I found at NAPA. It came in a nice bag/case; has adapters for several sizes (all Metric); an extension hose; and a quick-disconnect, like that used for your air tools. I'm not sure, but I think it was around $30.

I've got a Mac set with quick disconnect hoses that I like a lot. Don't remember how much it was though. (Maybe that's why I'm in so much debt with the Mac guy ..)

Steve: That NAPA set sounds like a real bargain. Does it has a pressure release for re-test?

Red 944: Usually the only Mac I can afford has a Big in front of it. My mantra is get a Lifetime Warranty and break them. I don't know how many 24" Harbor Freight breaker bars I've been through the last two years but they always replace them...I don't tell them about the cheater and they don't ask.

I bought one from Kragen for $30 - sounds similar to the NAPA one, but without the nice bag. You can have a look at it on www.partsamerica.com. It does have a pressure release (i bet the all do have rather than having to release the pressure by unhooking it) and it does have a few different adapters.

I bought one from Pep Boys and it stinks. Spend alittle extra money on a decent one.

Ken, what didn't you like about the Pep Boys one? (Pep boys is the same as Kragen isn't it?) I thought it did the job fine and for $30 can't really grumble.

The connectors didn't seal to well to each other and I was loosing pressure at first. And then the rubber seal that seals the spark plug hole ripped . It just seemed alittle on the cheap side. It got the job done, but if I was going to by another one, I'd spend alittle more money.
