Maybe it was a 944S specific color. Did yours have the clearcoat peel and totally fail as well?

Mine is a regular 944 so I don't think it's an "S" thing.

It didn't peel or anything but it was fading pretty badly. I could polish/wax it and it would look good for a week or two then get all faded again. At one point, I polished through the paint on the bumper!

That's when I decided it needed a respray...

Man that looks great. Really stoked for you how that came out. Mind telling me who you dealt with at the Jessup Maaco? Thinking I want to pop by and talk to him/her and figure out what stuff maybe I should take care of first and what to just let them do. There are plenty of dents, dings, peeling clear coat, etc. I think the just-after-Christmas drop-off with no imposed timeline is the key here.

I like the way it came out. Key with paint jobs like that is take the car to them prepped. It really cuts costs down significantly.

Looks great! The 944 has been transformed into a beautiful classic Porsche; you must be very proud of those two cars.
