1988 NA no start

Did a search, no joy.
My 88 NA will start and run perfectly, until it sits out in rain. Then it will not start. I’ve checked and there is spark on all cylinders. After it cranks for a few seconds, when I stop cranking, it tries to chug once or twice. I put it in the garage for a few days and the problem goes away. It will then start and fun perfectly unless left out again.
Any ideas?
I did the air flow petentiometer mod, and checked the connections for the reference sensors, tach bounces while cranking.

Have you checked the battery box to see if water is leaking into the cabin?

I unplugged and reattached the ecu harness and everything is dry down there.

Does it do this when you wash the car too?

If one of the sunroof drain pipes is detached it will cause water in the foot wells.
