Default Tire Pressure Loss

If one of your tires consistently loses air pressure more than the others, which one is it? I bet I know

I have winter and summer wheel tire combos.. have replaced sets of tires... yet the tire at this location always loses more air than the others.

I have always wondered if this wheel position is prone to this for a particular reason.

Guess which corner

right rear can spin the tire on the rim when it 'hooks up' for those that like to spin their wheels.

On my DD it's always the left rear. On the 944 it's always the front right. Neither one are driving wheels but it happens no matter which of the 4 wheels is in that spot.

Bingo.. Left (driver's side) Rear. No matter what tire wheel combo I got on, or if I've had new tires mounted, I lose about 8-10 psi a month daily driving in that spot.

All the other locations lose maybe 3-4 psi max.

No other car I've ever daily driven had this phenomenon. Not even my '69 bug that I drove through University--similar torsion bar rear end

On my 944, it was the tire with the nail in it. That tire kept loosing air.

Go figure!

I loose less pressure when I switched to metal valve stem caps. belmetric has some nice ones.

It has nothing to do with the position of the tire.

Yeah, I'm sure it makes no sense, but it's awfully strange coincidence that a refinished factory phone dial (rubber stem) with Michelin winter tire and original BBS rim (metal stem) with summer Yokohama--and all previous mounted tires--all leak in that LR spot significantly more over time than the other three spots!

Jokes aside, 90% of the time I ride alone so maybe it's the extra xxx lbs lol

That's all it is - a coincidence.
