So you've done something to your H2O cooled front engined wedgy. What has been your favourite mod?

Post em if you got em! Don't be bashful. For me it might be the power steering delete... or installing racing seats. Ah, lets give it to racing seats. Why? well for the same reason as the steering. I feel more connected, but also more secure.

The four rings on my dash. They are really the only mod I can SEE while driving.

You forgot, they look badass! Sparco Sprints?

I think the single upgrade that had the most effect on driving was doing my Hawk brake pads. Wow, those things bite like crazy! Very gratifying and confidence inspiring, though a bit noisy.

Koni suspension very satisfying, also square setup with r compound tires.

Race seats are on the list after engine reseal.

I’m a relatively new owner, so I don’t have a lot of mods to choose from, but of what I’ve done so far, it’s a tie between installing a Euro rear bumper and converting to manual steering. Both saved massive amounts of weight in addition to having real aesthetic (bumper) and mechanical (manual rack) advantages. The Euro bumper absolutley transformers the look of th car, and it’s really hard to appreciate it until you actually see it in person. It is also 16 pounds lighter than the US bumper, which is a great added benefit. The manual rack greatly simplifies the mechanics (no more reservoirs to fill or lines and pumps to leak), cleans up the engine bay a bit, frees up some power (the engine no longer has turn the pump), and also saves about 16 pounds. Is it hard to turn the wheel at parking lot speeds? Sure, but nothing an average man can’t handle, and at speed, the steering input and feedback is excellent. The Machine Shop (http://mwthemachineshop.com/porsche-...steering-racks) sells a manual kit with everything you need, including a brand-new, non-reman or converted rack, and it goes in without any fabrication or drama at all. The Euro bumper is another story, as Porsche has NLA’d it, but Rose Passion still has some available (or at least they did a few moths ago); the brackets and pad are, however, still available new and easy to come by from many different venders (I got mine from 944online, though they no longer have the bumper itself).

Probably the custom stainless steel exhaust I had a friend build for me. Nice to look at - but the sweet music it makes is the real treat.

Great idea for a thread!

This has been my favorite mod so far, installation of a simple, reliable, and capable power plant.

But seriously, short of that is probably the installation my short shifter and shift linkage arm.

M4090 HiFi door cards, new speakers all around, amp, new head unit and KLA subwoofer!
Then again, this weekend will be not so much "added" as "done to" - having the paint professionally corrected
Week following are performance mod's: Vitesse MAF and lots of associated bits to go with it!

For me it's either rebuilding the shifter with thrust bearings or replacing the cigarette lighter with a USB charging port.

I have to mirror everyone else in going with things that directly affect the interface from driver to car. So for me it was doing the full Only944 shifter upgrade/short shift, Renown 100 steering wheel with quick disconnect, and some Sparco race seats.

My car already came with manual steering and I don't understand why power steering would be necessary in these cars. The feedback is fantastic. I did recently swap to solid bushings and the difference in cornering stability was staggering (not surprising when swapping from 30 year old rubber). So I think bushing upgrades would be another to add to the list after doing the above.

The 07k turbo swap is incoming though so we will see if that tops everything else once complete!

It must be the balance shaft delete. Make the motor rev faster. Make it less noisy. More simple. And gives about 5 more HP's. And best of all. It cost zero $€£

Intrax RSA Coilovers and high strung control arms, there is a turn on my local track I had to lift and now I take it full throttle.

As a driver, I know that I should choose one of my performance-enhancing modifications, but that 931 nose panel still puts a huge smile on my face every time I look at the car.
