Adjusting electric sunroof height?
I need to adjust the sunroof height on my 86 944T.
It has the earlier system with out the sunroof gears
So im not sure how i can adjust them. Right now it's far to high and the arms pop out.
Searching hasn't got me far either.
Thanks.

On an '89 there's a nut on the motor/clutch assembly used for adjustment.
Edit:
On second thought, that nut is used to turn the drive manually.
As Dan mentioned, there's limiting switches located at the back of the metal disk.
Clarks Garage has a few pages on the sunroof. I haven't looked at them recently so not sure if they address your specific issue.

When I first saw another one with the roof fully up, I marvelled how high it went! Mine would only open about an inch. Then one day while holding the button, I accidentally bumped the roof with my head. It opened further, So, I bumped it again. That's when I discovered the limit switch at the front and how my roof's arm wasn't keeping it on anymore.
Of course, you have the opposite problem, but perhaps you can 'adjust' the arm or switch to stop contact before it fully opens?

Since no one actually read that it's an 86 with an early drive. I don't have the disc with limit switches or gears on the arms.
But... I figured it out anyway. To adjust it, you pull out the motor. take out the drive cable and you twist it till so the cable moves back into the gearbox in the roof.
You'll need to adjust and install a few times till you get it right.
