And to your point above its my expectation as well truthfully, I know I want more of a drop than the bolt will allow. I come from the Acura/Honda world and its funny how 2 inches of drop is nothing over there. I know the suspension acts differently but still...
I would try to get the low height set when you install. Then you can make a final adjustment with the eccentrics, which I think only have about a one inch range.

As for lowering standards, it is a different crowd. The very low street/show look of the import tuner scene is relatively rare with Porsches, though you do see it sometimes (been some on Stanceworks, etc). For me, the handling of my Porsches take precedence over stance, so I remain a bit conservative with ride heights to be sure geometry isn’t out of whack. But hey, I actually think slammed 944s look pretty awesome, just be sure you have thick skin hanging around on Porsche forums.
