Every time you put money into this 944 if you get it, just compare what you are getting to the cost of an oil change for the 997.2.

LOL Well, since it isn't drive much, it's only a once a year change...Even at the dealer, that'd only be $250 ish I bet. If I can get away with only spending $250-$500 / year on the 944, I'd LOVE that! lol

Even this 944 wouldn't be driven that much, but much more than the TTS for run-a-round and daily errands and stuff. No long trips (I'd worry about breaking down). But just a fun little car for daily stuff and maybe a mountain drive on occasion when I don't feel like having 530 HP on tap. lol

Assuming I could score this for $6500 (of course I'd have to pay tax here in GA), and it's in a nice shape as it looks / seems, with decent service history, Would that be considered a decent or good deal?

Just looked it up and GATAVT is only $146.00 on this car. Not bad.

JMO but in that price range I think you could look at some 1985.5 and newer ones. There were a lot of improvements over the 84's.

Little update. I've still not had a chance to go see this car. Now I'm considering buying a Fidelity Warranty for my TTS instead by buying another car.

Anyone here interested in this particular 944, PM me and I can get you the guys number. The car is in AL.
