944 T - 2 VINs, which one is correct?
I recently acquired a 1986 944T. The VIN visible from the windshield is WP0AA0954GN152375, and the VIN in the engine bay against the firewall is WP0ZZZ95ZGN152375. They are similar but different, is that normal?

"They are similar but different, is that normal?"
Yes.
Very simply, if the vehicle was intended for sale or distribution in the United States, the actual VIN is located on the mandatory FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) placard (usually) located in the engine compartment and visible through the windshield, although a manufacturer can additionally attach or stamp a VIN number on other parts of the vehicle.
This a simplified statement, feel free to research the topic.

Most of these cars are like that and I had the exact same question when I bought mine. It is completely normal and as others have said the one on the a-pillar is your vin number.
