Default Central locking mystery

New to me 944 that is showing some weird locking problems. Hoping someone here can help.

Replaced the central locking fuse at #8 and the problems persist.

Here is what is happening.
  • Button with key in on position locks drivers door only
  • Button does not unlock either door
  • Key in either door manually locks either door, no central locking
  • Sometimes opening or closing the passenger door will lock the drivers door and can only be unlocked by pulling up on the ****.

Sounds like an issue with either the wiring or the lock actuators in the doors.

There are plastic clips that attach to the actuators they are still available when they break all weird things happen with the locking system . they are plastic and dry out with age.
