I loved it at first but the longer it sits outside the more I hate it and just want a modern sports car with little to no issues. I used to be all about project cars and bikes. I’ve had at least 15 different bikes in the past 3 years that I’ve rebuilt and I still have one now that I’m working on. Since I graduated high school I have other plans now and I work so much that I don’t have the time or motivation anymore for any projects. I’m just not interested anymore tbh.

You might feel better about it if you fixed a few of the easily accomplished things, like installing different seats and the doors and console. Also consider the cost of a 'new' sports car. A Boxster is one of those cars often compared to the 944. They are considerably more expensive, but are no free pass when it comes to maintenance. And Boxsters don't have 1/4 the character a 944 does. In the end, the 944 is one heck of a value.

A few years ago I listened to an interview of Norman Lear. Among his prolific TV and film writing and production projects were both hits and flops. He claimed something that kept him going was the idea of "over" and "next". Knowing when something is done, whether successful or not, is important since it frees us for what we want to do next.

So bail on this 944 project, but do it for positive reasons.

This is 60 metre tower.

O.P. I'm glad you sold it. Move on with life (I wish I could take my own advice).

You gotta love the thing to make it run. I hooked up with a chick that didn't like me working on my '24S all the time so I put it in storage. We broke up but my Porsche is still here worst for the wear of just sitting for years. I've spent tons of cash and time but I get a big freaking smile on my face doing the twisties. Better than sex? The difference is when the twisties are over I'm still hard. I've brought many cars back to life and I keep a log of what's done and what to do. I research prices and search local resources. Each time that I'm done the log looks as fat as a dictionary. Sometime it takes years to do a car. Get with it or get rid of it.

That is what I was thinking when he said he jumped off a 60 meter object. 60 meters is 196 feet. 196 feet is about the equivalent of an 18 story building. The SEAL didn't say what he landed on but I don't think a fall from that height is some minor thing and further I don't think the military wants to have their soldiers falling 196 feet onto anything. A soldier in the hospital or casket can't train or fight.

He probably meant 60 feet instead of 60 meters. It was pretty common to drill jumping off a 60 ft carrier deck into water, sounds like they still do it. My grandfather made me do it when I was 10, which is a pretty big deal, but by the time I was two meters tall it wasn't so bad There's used to be a diving platform in Salmon Arm British Columbia (I think, it was a long time ago) that was 60 ft over the water.
