Default Hood clearance measurement request

Wondering if anybody could get a measurement of vertical clearance between this bracket and the closed hood. My hood is in another part of the garage...

Please specify if your hood has the acoustic liner or not.

Went to look for you. I don't have that bracket.

Mine either. I have a green cannister like in post #2 (vacuum accumulator?).

However, the distance from the 'frame rail', right next to the screw that pokes through the fender to the bottom of an unlined hood is 14 3/8"

I am referring to the screw that pokes horizontally, not the one that is near the bracket.
The one that looks to be about halfway between the battery drain hole and the shock tower.

Hope that is of some use.

you guys must both have early 83 models, they changed the can to black and put it by the battery before the 84 MY.

that little bracket is one of the attachments for the cruise control servo.

Joe, thank you for that measurement, that works about as well for my purpose.
