I still can't believe this one. Well done on acquiring this car, it is what we all dream of. Glad it now has an owner who will use it and enjoy!

Plus I love those early offset phone dials! Keep the pictures coming.

Thanks man. Looking forward to learning everything, or at least a lot, about this car. Just took this image this morning.

Wow....what a find! Congrats

I'm mixed on the idea of driving or storing it. Not sure I could decide!

Well, I understand that feeling.
The fact is that cars were made to be driven—4 wheels, an engine, etc. I am not in the museum business and cars rot if left standing. So I will drive it and rotate it with my other cars. 10 years from now I bet it show far less that 10k on the odometer, so it will still be a rare bird. Don't worry, it will be very well cared for.

P.S. If you are going to the CVR event in a couple of weeks it will be there!!!

No rear wiper? Pretty rare, and I think they look much sleeker without one.

This is what came with the car, along with one set of keys, the jack/spare, and option list.
Does it look like there is anything missing? One person told me there should have been a cardboard sleeve that slides over the compressor case.
Thanks

No, I don't believe there is a sleeve on the late pumps. Mine does not have one. Looks very complete.

Thanks. Appreciate it.
Actually it also came with a bottle of Porsche window wash. Forgot to include that in the pic.

Thanks. A lucky find.

I love the 944 Turbo nose, especially with the lights up. Took this shot today.

[QUOTE=bonus12;15258322]That is beyond ridiculous. How would one verify the mileage on such an example?

I've seen this car person and it is amazing! As someone with a lot of previous 944 experience (even dating back to when these were new), there isn't a doubt in my mind that the mileage is authentic. I haven't seen a 944 in that condition, since they were arriving at dealerships. Every detail of this car (other than newer tires) looks as it would have if you were taking delivery of it in 1986. This car is the real deal !

haha guys, some of the responses to my post indicate my intention was misinterpreted. I just meant it as a matter-of-fact question.

Any vehicle in this condition is mint. The fact that it's a 951 makes my jaw drop every time there's a new pic. I mean, that's insane. and ridiculously nice.
Is it not the best 944 example in existence? Everything is original (except as stated), and nothing has been changed.

A lot of us on this forum would talk about sitting the car. But we all know the 944 always call you and says, "drive a little more today." To take that machine out in traffic, I can't imagine. I would inspect it like an airplane before and after flight. If you take out the 944, it's a disservice to not hit some RPM.

No big deal.

If the heat weren't such on HOT the car would be even better. Haven't sorted that out yet.
