Seems nice, but price is high IMO.

Very nice but if it was priced right it would have been sold already. Who knows though, some collector might snap it up for a garage queen. It asks for offers.

Extremely nice car. That being said, at the asking price, the leather on the driver's seat should be perfect, and it appears that the rock shields on the trailing edges of the fenders and quarters (and fronts of the rear quarters) are due for replacement. If timing belt hasn't been changed recently, that would be something to budget for even though the miles are low. If tires are old, those should be replaced as well.

Cars of that mileage will appeal to people who want to keep it and not drive it much, which might also be people with deeper pockets. If I had one with 19K, I'd feel bad driving it. I want to drive my car! It would be cool to collect cars but that's above my pay grade.

I've never understood this angle at all. This is a 30 year old car with very low mileage, you could put 10k very enjoyable miles on it in no time and it would still be a 30 year old car with...very low mileage! Unless it is a museum piece with delivery miles, why feel bad?

Why do the rock shields discolor? My 84 has original rock shields and there is no discoloration at all.

I dunno. Guess it's a mental battle of what it would mean to me. I see your point too.

Great talk! I really like the focus on the early 944 models, which haven't really seen a substantial uptick in selling prices (at least I haven't noticed it). It would be nice to see #2 condition cars sit around 17 - 20K, especially since I've been told that my 84 fits within that threshold and total investment (maintenance, repair, restoration costs) have substantially surpassed these values. I've actually been contemplating the idea of putting her on the market to allow someone else the opportunity to enjoy her...

I was wondering about the tires too. I could see a couple of date codes on them, both from 16.
