It looks like most of the fitment issues would be near the rocker panels (sills). Also, the lower portion of the rear flare and the front marker light may need attention. On a positive note, it seems like only removing material from the flares would be necessary.

You can expect delivery 4-6 weeks after placing your order.

Now that the flares are out of the way, I can continue to develop the other pieces planned for the 944. Next up, the drop in fender vents and side skirts.

I've haven't dragged the 944 over to the new shop that will wear the flares for the side skirt development. So, I decided to get going on the fender vents. These could be used stand alone or in conjunction with the Project Nine widebody over fenders.

Ok, on with the good stuff...
Drop in fender vent development. Now with the first production flares out of the moulds, I'm able to verify placement of the vents before cutting the car. Here we go!

The drivers side vents are now complete. I'll start the bodywork to ready them for casting the production moulds in short order.




You will notice that I am welding these with a series of tack welds. If you aren't familiar, it's to prevent the metal from distorting because of the heat. I circle around the piece depositing tacks until I have a complete weld. In the YouTube episode covering the fabrication of these vents the technique is shown in time lapse.

In the end I seem to been the right track. The only change I've made to the prototypes vs. the render is the length of the rear vent to address the rear side marker.
With the vent extending to the edge of the existing opening it will make for easier alignment. Moreover, the vent now has plenty of real estate for the side marker to be cut back in if required.

Okay, So those who have been following from the beginning know that I have had plans for harness guide bar. A simple, yet robust design using material approved by sanctioning bodies. 0.120" wall 1.5" DOM A513 Type 5, 1020/1026 mechanical grade mild steel tubing. A great piece of equipment for those that need the security of a multi-point harness and are not yet ready for a roll bar. Autocrossers, PDE drivers, etc.

Well, I've had time to bolt down the old Woodward Fab tubing bender to the new shop floor and get busy.....and....

As a matter of fact, I brought the materials for that project and the prototype moulds for the top side fender vents to the new shop just the other day. You can expect more to come shortly.

So yesterday I drove the red 85.5 944 that I sculpted the top side fender vents on ( featured early in the thread) to the new shop. It's a car I grabbed almost a year ago and have had tucked away. The odometer reads 85,xxx, but the car feels like its been driven 300,000 miles on a fire road! No worries, frankly I'm happy it didn't have to be trailered. The plan is to tear it down and make it something special...and keep it on the road.

I've been getting more familiar with photo editing software and was able to put together a couple renders I'll share. The planned side skirts for the 944 to be used with the P9 flares and a ducktail, which I have to say, looks awesome on the car.

I don’t know. I was wondering the same thing. They had been very active for a while expanding and even Sema builds. I even won some posters, stickers and decals from some of the giveaways and contests they had. Last I hear of them was back in like October of 2019. The website is no longer operational and Instagram had them last active in 2019 as well.. Hopefully they are just restructuring because they made a lot of progress in a short amount of time as a person into a company.
