Bryan, don't forget to use a (slightly) bent wheel mounted on the wall as a hose reel.

I'd love to have given you mine, but it was stolen!

You must not have seen many Porsches at dismantlers. The crest is like the first thing removed from a wrecked Porsche.

I would but I'm gonna refurbish it and give it to Harry- It's an original Orange (not red) stripe from an original 912.. I'm intrigued- I have a project a well; in the works with new badges- but they are not ready to unveil.

Mike -I’m patient, thanks for the help!
Campeck -Porsche crest wallet eh? Sounds kind of uncomfortable.
Conor -I understand, I still have the crest from my first 944.
Scootin159 –glue it to your toolbox, it’s an important keepsake. I have two from previous cars.
BlueS2 –it sounds like you’re going to have all the help you need. (shaking sheetrock dust out of my hair)
Supachink & Michael -pictures say a thousand words..

Damian –Bent wheel used as hose real, -good idea.
Luis –we have a local dismantler, but I’d rather not deal with him.
Chris924s –I think Harry would appreciate that one more than I. I’m looking for weathered ones.

Here's a little taste of tonights work..

Time to let the cat out of the bag..

I’m going to use the donated hood crests as door pulls on the cabinets I just installed. I double-checked the math and I need 18 hood crests, with or without pins. If anyone is willing to donate a badge (in any condition), I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks, -Bryan

Bryan - sounds like a great project. We are having the garage of our dreams built now (well - actually it's the house of Joyce's dreams, but what the heck - it comes with a nice garage). I had the builder install a Golf Cart roll up door on the side of the garage to facilitate Rennlist get togethers and general car stuff. Also had water piped in so the house can stay clean. I love the idea for the hood crest. I'll probably steal it from you if you don't mind and do the same as well. Hose reel out of an old wheel is a great idea as well.
I also had the garage wired for cable so I can cruse Rennlist in style (and watch a little Speed TV). Looking for ideas on the best type of seating for the "shop" - any one with a suggestion?

Now see there, and excellent suggestion already! Drinks will be in the pink pig refrigerator (you know - the one with the big pig face where each snout is a tap to the keg inside). Also spotted a nice vintage coke box the other day. Might refinish one of those for a drink keeper.

Keith,

Feel free to use the door-pull idea. -I'll include a photo or two of my handy work tonight for refrence material.

I have a p-car seat on casters as my garage chair.

Do you still need more crests? I have one laying around here somewhere in decent condition. It's kind of dull but I'm sure you could fix that.

Send me a PM if you need it. It's not bent, and it has both pegs.
