See the dried stuff around the oil galleries, just below the sealing face? And the closest main stud on the front of the engine - where it goes into the block.

Thanks MAGK..thats the page I was thinking of! BTW This stuff is for exacting tolerances... You Wont see allot of it, esp on a factory block, they were probably pretty neat and conservative with the 574 Esp At $100.00 a bottle!

I'd think Drei Bond 1209 would be a good solution.

Uh, dude...., you are showing a block for evidence that your engine doesn't have sealant with signs of sealant all over the entire mating surface.
What did you figure all that stuff was overhanging the edges...?

When the girdle is torqued, only a thin layer stays in a perfect world and it becomes sort of transparent at thin mil profiles. You have to scratch it with your nail to even know it's there.

Your engine in your thread is beyond the girdle mounting stage when you posted the message I replied to above.

Please go disassemble it and roll the sealer on with the velour roller. They are a couple of dollars at a hardware store.

the picture was from last year.
i have ordered the loctite 574 And Will be doing this on tuesday.
