Default Wiring for LED dimmer. (Need Some Help)

I recently installed the Garage 9 LED dash conversion kit and I am having trouble figuring out how to wire this dimmer. If I stick the black and red wires coming from gauge cluster into the stock dimmer plug the will dash light up with no problems. However if I try to connect up the dimmer then there is nothing. The instructions say (from my understanding) to run the red wire from potentiometer to a power source in the stock plug and run the black wire to the dash pod wires. However if I do that then I only have one wire coming from potentiometer to connect to 2 wires coming from dash pod which doesn't make sense.

Any help from people who are competent at wiring things?

I'm not familiar with this kit, but I would assume you connect the remaining black wire from the cluster to a ground.

How does it look when it's all lit up? I'm not familiar with that system either

I think I am just going to wire it up without a dimmer. The kit just replaces the stock bulbs with LED ones that are pretty bright.

These lights are blue but mine are white. I'll post pics when I finish.

So the kit doesn't come with the dimmer? You added that yourself? You know that voltage dimmers don't work with leds, right ?

So the only modification was installing LED bulbs in the stock location? No mirrors or shiny new tin foil to put on? Those are pretty damn bright

My gauges are so dim I don't know what color they are supposed to look like. Just install white LEDs or Orange LEDs?
