My 83 has plain jane seats. I was looking at an 84, and it has sportier seats. Side Bolsters are much bigger, like they will hold you. Did 84 have different seats, or is this a seat option ??

Sounds as though you may have been looking at the optional sport seat. This assuming they are OE Porsche seats and not aftermarket.

83 84 seats were the same, they changed with the 85.2 cars. The high bolster seats are as Gage said, factory sport seats. VERY desirable

Can you put a value on early sport seats ? They would need a recovering, as they are original.

They seem to fetch $1000+ when they come up on E-Bay. I bought a pair a couple years ago and am waiting for new foam to be available once again. There were a couple vendors offering it before the pandemic turned everything upside down.

definitely don't under estimate what you can get for them. The same seats are found in period 911's and that crowd are also looking for them which drives up the prices.
