944 Turbo Cup Mirror Questions
I finally tracked down a 944 Turbo Cup mirror for my 951. It's actually from a 924S and comes with a manual control with cables. Thinking that the setup is similar to the flag mirrors, I've been trying to remove the glass by sticking a small screw driver through the bottom holes to rotate the disc counterclockwise without any luck for a couple of hours. Is anyone familiar with how to remove the glass from these mirrors so I can disconnect the manual cables?
Since it's unlikely I'll track down a passenger side mirror, I've been thinking of just running a single driver side mirror for my 86 944T.
Lastly, can anyone confirm if this is the correct body gasket for the mirror to be mounted to the door? (See 2 on the part sheet below)

The mirror simply lifts off the motor driven backing plate.
If you look at #11 you will see an upper and lower hole on the left side and a single hole on the right edge.
Be careful as you pull it off, there are wires connected to the heater on the back of the mirror.

Where did you find the mirror? I am looking for a Right hand side mirror for a Rothman Turbo Cup car ........the damaged mirror has the same part numbers as you show.

However, I do have a manual driver side mirror (with cable) - I believe this originally came off of a 924 single mirror car in the UK. Certainly for sale if anyone wants it.
Alternatively if you are looking for the passenger mirror, I have a contact that has a reconditioned/used but in excellent condition passenger side mirror. PM if you want their email address.
Thanks!
