"Anyone have an extra piston for an 83 laying around?"

Just to be sure, did you match the piston tolerance group?"
This is info for an S2 But the information may apply to your '83 engine..

We will see what it is when it arrives. Mine have a 1 written on them. Fingers crossed. I definitely don't have $600+ to spend on new aftermarket.

Call/Email Mark at PlyhammersParts and tell him you need tolerance 1 piston, he's real nice and very accommodating!

The full set he ordered is a "Tolerance 1" set. How's that for good fortune, he can break 3 more and still be ok. Usairforcevet must have some good karma

cheers,
c

Of the 7 pistons that you end up with, inspect them all closely and use the 4 best ones.

I have these 10.6:1 Euros tolerance group 1 for sale but I guess it’s too late so never mind.

How much are you asking my friend? I'd love to get a few more horsepower.
