Default AJUSA 930S steering wheel

Couple of questions:
1. For those of you who have purchased this steering wheel, which comes with a hub, how much did you pay with crest for the wheel?
2. Do they offer a discount for rennlist members?

A friends wife called and asked what she could get her husband(86 951 for X-mas). I knew he liked the steering wheel, hell he knows he's getting it, so I told her. Now, I thought I saw pop up adds here on rennlist that the wheel was $245 IIRC, which I told her to buy. True or False?

You go to the site and it says $331. She told me today with everything it was close to $400! Now, not picking on AJUSA here,,but what have previous people paid for this or did she get the "she's a woman" treatment? Should she call back and tell them her husband is a rennlist member, if they offer the discount. $331 + 29 crest + 12 ship = $372,,ok.
TIA.

I think Pelican sells it for $245+$35 for the crest.

Edit- I just checked. $249.85 with mounting hub, $35 for the crest.

I just got the AJ wheels from Pelican last week -- but I'm returning the crest b/c it requires drilling a hole in the horn cover (or some other work). Not sure what other people have done with the crest, but I ended up getting a stick-on type on eBay, which didn't look that good, to be honest....

I picked mine up last week for $245 including FREE shipping. The service was first rate much better than other venders I have purchased from.

The discount is offered to both rennlist members and PCA members, the offer is good until Dec. 31st, 2003. I've already purchased mine but I wonder what they would say if you told them that Pelican is selling the same steering wheel for $229. Give it a try it cann't hurt.

No, the price did not include the crest but it is on sale as well. If you purchase the crest AJUSA will install it for you. They will have to drill a small hole in the horn button to do so but boy the crest sure does make a huge difference IMO.

Just a hint... I live in San Diego where AJ is and i frequently visit there... from what i have seen... they are overpriced on almost everything they sell... one of the only reasons that i go is because they carry P21S...

If she is willing to spend $372 for the AJ wheel, Why would she not spend the other $38 and get a real Club Sport wheel from the Dealer? Its worth every penny.

Right - we have the 930S wheel right now for $229:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...11REC_main.htm
(add it to your cart - it will add at $229)

We also sell the full line of P21S:

And, Pelican has been a sponsor of Rennlist from Day One (much, much longer than AJ)...

Thanks everyone. I think Mr "Nick" at AJUSA will be getting a call from me this a.m. If he does not refund or credit the funds I will let everyone know.
He should have been nice enough to ask her if she(and she is)was a PCA member and "is your husband a rennlist member?".

I think she deserves the credit or AJUSA needs to offer up something else for X-Mas to make up the difference. She can still return it and buy from Wayne.
