Yes, they are supposed to be unaffected by friction modifiers, however there seems to be a lot of anecdotal evidence around that suggests otherwise.

THe one on the left looks very similar, it might the 968 version of mine. I think I contacted jet951 about it, also some others in the US, that never replied.
