Default My New Project! First time Porsche Owner, 944

Hey guys, new to Rennlist and wanted to get my feet wet on the forum. Pictures are below of my 944!

I recently acquired this running and driving 944 for a deal I couldn't pass. I have before pictures and after I have cleaned and washed it. We also took the buffer to it and turned the paint back to life!

Today the intake manifold gaskets will be here, and so far (besides a leaking tire) that is what I need to give this 944 a "proper" shakedown.

Cheers to the new project!

Welcome aboard. Be sure to read up on the timing belt threads which abound here before you do anything else. A broken timing belt will bend some valves and take time and money you can use elsewhere on your worthy project of saving another 944.
Always post your location, members willing to help with both knowledge and special tools may be right around the corner. The steering wheel is on the "proper" side so I can probably rule out a few countries.

What model year is that? It looks like it has late offset wheels on an early car.

Update to the replies, the previous owner very recently did the timing belt service, water pump, a new starter, distributor and cap, as well as I believe the fuel pump. As far as the year, he told me it was an 85.5 car. I'm still new to the community and have heard about the wheel base difference. Still debating what will go on as far as permanent wheels for street use. My intentions are to track and eventually enter PCA with this car.

Thank you for the comments and advice!
