Default Carbon Fiber roof 944/968

Gentlemen,
Attached are some pictures of the Carbon Fiber Roof I am installing on the new Race car. If anyone is interested contact Kyle Schiemann at Schiemann Composites kmschiemann@gmail.com

Looks fantastic but how much weight does it save?

Beautiful looking piece. Silly question maybe, but how is it affixed in place of the steel original. I thought the original roof was spot welded.

I asked him. He answered, drilling the spot welds, then using body panel adhesive to affix

This looks insanely good for any track car 😁
Have you taken the old skin off yet? Would you share pictures of the installation process? Is there good contact area to get high strength adhesion?

Yes, there is plenty of surface area for panel adhesive.
As we prepare the car for paint I will post pictures.
The roof skin actually snaps onto the front taper and rear taper of the front and rear roof edges.
We are currently working on the cage.

The CF roof looks amazing.

Are all of those holes there from the factory, or did you cut them yourself?

The CF roof looks awesome. Does removing the steel skin affect the strength of the roof, or is the structure underneath what matters? Or is a cage required to make up the difference?
