Default Changing fuel pump, okay to reuse washers?

My check valve washers are fairly new but I am changing the pump to a Bosch. It didn't come with new washers (check valve was already installed in the pump). Apparently 12x15.5 is nearly impossible to find around here so should I be good on reusing the previous ones? I will check with NAPA but not hopeful.

Looks like 944online carries them.

NAPA/etc actually do carry copper crush washers that should work.

But, if you have a torch, you can "re-anneal" your old ones to reuse if you wanted.

I'll hit Napa. There's no time to order anything as I have to fix this weekend before the next track session.

Yes they can be reused if re-annealed, heated until orange and wet-looking, or not quite. You can melt them if you go much farther. They can be quenched at this point because they are not affected like steel would be.

Harbor Freight has a kit of copper washers which can be made into crush washers if you anneal them, it's handy to have around.

If you are striking out you can look for some at a motorcycle shop or a Honda dealer but these should be commonplace items. Oil drain plug gasket in the Help rack maybe. Advance auto has several on their website, copper and aluminum.

Napa has some they said. I didn't realize the 15.5 is just the outside diameter so really it can be a 16 or so as long as it is an M12 ID. I'll just grab a few of them then. Good to know about heating to reuse though if in a pinch.
