nice car. i can't believe the service bill was so low.
western PA try that at Beverly Hills Porsche. LOL.
that's one helluva long hibernation to come out so clean.
(it appears you'll have quite a ways to go yet before Chevy V8 swap time).
congrats.

Yeah, I guess labor prices are a tad lower in Western Pennsylvania compared to Beverly Hills! LOL
Yeah, the last owner of this 944 had MS for 30 years and like 20 years back he became unable to drive it due to the disease, so it was stored away in a garage with the cover on it. It was babied and garaged all the time before he wasn't able to drive it as well, so this was a dream find!

That is an awesome find, and the price to change the belts sounded reasonable as well. In Michigan the belt / water pump job would easily be $1000+ more. I was able to get my garage find on the road (after a lot of mechanical work in my garage), but the interior carpet was ruined by mice. It's now stripped to the metal pans, and I'm planning for carpet this spring. Enjoy that car!

Yeah mine also had the remains of the 'former occupants' left in it! I found lots of nesting/bedding material from the mice that decided that an '83 Porsche looked like a great place to crash! Fortunately for me, they were all under the hood... and I found a huge one in the air filter box! LOL
This was what it looked like under the hood the day I first looked at it:
Critter crash pad!
