Have you ever experienced the fan coming on after you have turned off the car and running until your battery dies?

My fan seems to come on after the engine has shut off. If i turn the key partially it will stop, i will turn the key back and remove and then 5-10min later the fan will come on again and will keep running non stop.
The other night i woke up to a dead battery because of this fan issue.

Any ideas are most welcome
