Default Fr wilk chip

Hello,

I just bought an 88 924s. I'm looking for a chip to put in it. Most forums and reviews recommend the FR Wilk RaceChip. I cannot find this chip anywhere for some reason. If anyone know where I can purchase one, it would be appreciated.

I was planning on getting the FR Wilks performance chip for my 1986 944 NA, but it seems the website is no longer available to sale the chips.
His main website is http://www.the944.com is still up and site that sold the chips is down http://www.powerprom.com

I sent an email to the email on the website and have not received a reply.

Does anyone know what's going on with FR Wilks?

I haven't heard of FR Wilk stuff being available for sale for a long time.

Right now you do have other options. The best would be Rogue Tuning. What are your goals?

Default Alternatives

http://www.9tuning.com/924s.asp
http://www.promaxmotorsport.co.uk/products/72-performance-chip-924s-160-28pin.aspx

http://dmeshop.de/index.php?cPath=1_26&MODsid=j0c7ref6510t84pvf1vvg2bhr4

Let us know what you choose and how happy you are with what you put in. I'll likely be installing one in the near future on my 88 924s project.

Side note: I may end up slapping a turbo on the NA 2.5. Does anyone know if the ECU/chip from a 928 turbo can be used?

928 turbo?? There is no such thing, unless aftermarket, in which case I have no idea.

If you mean 924 turbo, then no, it won't work on the 944.

Default EDIT

Correction: yes, I meant 924 turbo. i.e.: will DME from 2.5T (924 turbo) be compatible with 2.5NA (924s)? assuming both are 28 pin sockets from the 88 model year, or retrofitted from pre-88 24pin with jumper wire.

I had the FR Wilk race chip for 3 years in my 86 NA and loved it. I've been searching high and low for another one since I fried my DME by either jump starting or a loose ground that was found by Porsche. I'm going to install the MaxHP chip in my new DME soon.

I’m going to sell my Wilk chip should anybody be interested (from a 1988 924s, 28 pins). Much better overall performance and the engine feels much more alive and responsive, especially in the higher rev range. Very satisfying results overall at a fairly low cost (what I remember I paid around $100). Shoot me a PM if interested.
