Default 924s handles won't work from exterior, help!

I live in Michigan, and my 924s had a flat tire, so I went to go open the hatch and jack it up and check out the issue, (it's been -10 for the past week here) and when I pulled the latch on the handle I heard a snap! and then there was no resistance on the handle, it is kind of flappy now. This happened to my passenger side door about a month ago as well, I haven't done anything about it either, because it wasn't the drivers side. But I could climb through the sunroof to get in, although that'd be extremely embarrassing. Anyways, do you guys know if it was the cable that snapped because of the cold? I don't want to order a new cable and find out, oh, it's not the cable. The doors open from the inside, forgot to include that.

Hi. Sounds like either the linkage or there is also a small plastic clip. Take the door card off and have a look.
