key wont turn wheel locked
On my 87 924s i tried to turn on the car yesterday and found that i couldn't turn the key i played with the steering wheel but still couldnt get it to turn. So, I tried taking the steering wheel off, all the switches and the ignition switch, Following the haynes guide. But the ignition switch part wont come ot because the wheel is locked and I noticed the allen screw that holds this is not there. The whole unit is a 1/4 inch closer to me then it should be, so I think it is jammed I cant move it in or out at all

Mine does that from time to time, if I grab the bottom of the wheel and jolt it towards me a few times while twisting the key it usually unlocks. May not be related but worth a try.
