924Board.org Down?

Maybe we'll all just have to exist on Rennlist.
That sucks though. It means we all have to get giant signature pictures under our names and put up with a message board that openly welcomes fake Porsches like 911's with their own discussion areas. I'm not sure I can handle that.

My biggest issue with that is the terrible signal-to-noise ratio, at least for those of us particularly interested in the 2.0L platform.
In some respects, it's unfortunate that the early 924 platform is lumped in with the 924S/944/951/968 crowd. Not that there's anything wrong with either group, it's just that the nuances and peculiarities of the early platform are truly unique, and in my experience, not understood or appreciated by the 2.5/2.7/3.0 enthusiasts. Regardless of what happens with 924board, I think we could make a very strong case for having a discreet "Early 924" forum here on Rennlist and even over on Pelican.

Maybe they should change the name of this forum to 924 2.0L or equivalent to differentiate. Too bad John D is no longer the owner or I'd hit him up about the change.

Waoh! slow down gents.
Lets give Pete and friends some time. Nothing against RL or Pelican but I would like to see 924board remain. I agree that the feeling is much better when the forum is dedicated to one model and not lumped together as "Water Cooled".

what's wrong with the 924S? haha...just kidding around
I've gotten a lot of very useful info (and parts) from 2.0L folks...the cars are very similar in a lot of important ways. I've been going crazy not being able to look on 924board for the past couple days (I post there as mhart, if anybody was confused...don't know why the 2 handles but anyway, i'm rambling, likely because 924board is down haha)

Some of the servers had to be relocated and of course they forgot to tell
me. Then after moving the server the board is on there were problems
getting it running so everything got copied to a new server which has
caused more problems.
Hopefully it will be back very soon.
Peter.
