I have 6 of them. Unfortun. they are all wrecked. Deans car has alot of the parts. Some must die so others can go on.

Hi I have owned my 1987 924's since 1993. It has been a great car. and has not been an expensive car to operate. The car has a black leather interior and a saphire blue exterior (looks silver)

The only major issue with the car is that the odometre stopped working. I swapped it out and that one stopped working also after about 10km of travel. The car is back in the shop. the speedo has been taken apart and the plastic gear was replaced. The odomoetre works fine on the bench but fails as soon as it is put back on the car. Has anyone else experienced this? The car only has about 83K original km on it so I stopped driving the car when the odometre stopped working. I would like to fix this and get the car back on the road.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

James

I'd like to throw my name in this hat. Just got myself a 1988 924S with 37K miles, two days ago. Never thought I'd ever drive a Porsche, let alone own one! And she rides like a dream!!! Glad my Acura blew up Proud to be a 924S owner alongside all of you.

I too have an 87 924S Red with tan interor. Not real crazy about the three speed automatic transmission but oh well. Timing belt, balance belt, water pump, cylinder head gasket all done. Resealing the oil cooler this week.

Hi, also a newbie here. This is my '88 924S owned for 3 months now. Body in excellent shape, few dings, a buff would make it amazing. 101k on it, runs strong. First (running) Porsche. Looked for an 88 that met my needs for months. Love it, fixing odds and ends. SE mud guards added, C2 16" wheels, more parts in the mail now. Would love to do a dual cam swap in future. Fun to drive

Sorry Images so large

Hi Dean,
Where are you located ? I am in Lowell Mass, I think 924s are so rare, I don't see any 924s around my town, is your car daily drive or summer use only ?

Todd
