Post front brake upgrade

Looking to upgrade the front brakes of 1987 924S
with 1987 944Turbo front calipers and rotors.

What parts are needed to accomplish this.

Has anyone done this ?

Help.

Thank you.

I have not done this but have contemplated doing so. The general concensus is that it really isn't worth the effort, especially considering how good the existing brakes already are and how little power the 924S makes. But anyway, here is what you need, if memory serves me:

- Turbo Calipers and Rotors
- Steering knuckles from same
- Strut housings from same since the tab to which the strut mounts on the turbo is wider.
- A way to make your speedo work since the turbo spindle isn't drilled out like the 924S spindle.
- Maybe a proportioning valve from same

If you want to improve your existing brakes, use a better set of pads (I use and really like Porterfield R4 pads) and a new set of rotor. Slotted rotors may help some, but I doubt it. Changing your brake fluid and lines may help too.
