Failed smog check.
My 924 has moved from Australia to Korea.
My 924 failed the smog check because of too much CO ( about CO 2.7% - Max is 1.2%).
Other smog is pass.
My 924 has not Catalytic Converter because
my 924 is Australia 98RON lead fuel version.
I have installed a used Catalytic Converter and
I'm use a 98RON Premium Unlead.
But Co is still 2.7%.
How to decrease Co level ?
Thanks!

Thanks for your answer ^^
I have put new spark plugs and new distributor
cap & rotor.
Timing is ok. Engine run very smooth.
Everyone said that CATS help reduce CO and
I put on that for under regulation.
Is that problem of K-Jet CIS system?
How to decrease CO ??
HELP ME.~~

ask for help at www.924board.org
I think it would be a fault of one or more of a few things.
1) weak ignition spark
2) bad timing
3) bad emissions equipment(air pump, cats, charcoal filter)
4) too rich of a fuel mixture(thats not usually a problem with CIS)
5) a serious vacuum leak somewhere.
does it start hard, idle rough, or lose power high in the rev range?

Go out and buy 10 gallons of Toluene (Tekron) and put some in your tank...about 5 gallons should do but you've got lots just in case...get your mechanic to test it...
