Has anyone ever seen a 924 GTS Club Sport registered in US?

Especially in California?

Not in CA, per se, but I do recall there's been one FS in CT for a while...

Seen no, but know about, yes. in 2001, a 924 GTS Club Sport that was federalized came up for sale. I conversed ever so briefly with the seller. He was on the East Coast. I thought the car came from a collection in Japan. I look back with some regret that I didn't seriously look into buying it. With 5000 miles on the odometer, it was in excellent condition.

I'm curious, are you looking to import one?
