Default 944 non turbo bell housing

Can anyone tell me if the part number for a turbo bell housing is different from a non turbo. I know the bell housing is different in dimensions. I’m tearing my hair out with a starter grinding issue and from reading some threads figured I had a turbo bell housing on. Picked one up from a non turbo used and it has the same PN

I was also confused about the different bellhousings and asked around. See in this thread what I found out. Here you can learn how to tell a NA to a Turbo housing. Casting numbers on the housing can be the same so you need to measure like described here.

Good luck!
