1987 924s speed and reference sensor question
 

Just replaced both speed and reference sensors. I noticed that one had a metal 'sleeve' when I pull it out of the motor and the other, the one on the firewall side, had no sleeve. Wondering if it might have fallen when I removed the sensor? Or is there a sleeve only on the one sensor? Tia

They should look exactly the same.

If the sensor has been replaced previously that may explain the lack of a metal sleeve. Not all the aftermarket parts are built like the factory originals.
