I don't think it's for the best. Obviously, the owner's opinion is the only one that really matters, but I don't see what they were going for here. There are more pics on the HP.

I think it'd be cheaper just to buy an Esprit. While I wouldn't do this to mine, I kind of like the look, and the work looks to be done well.

You're likely right, even thought they aren't know for being easy on the wallet, maintenance-wise.

Default world's ugliest 914

sitting next to its handsome brothers, the original motor trend import car of the year, and the world's lowest mileage six with only 5100 miles

It is never cheaper to buy an esprit.

I did say "buy," not "maintain."

Why? Did you feel the need to hide this away from view (and then why in the display lineup)?

To show how some people spend hundreds of hours, and accomplish nothing but butchery. However the car is a wealth of parts. It has a genuine 914-6 engine in it that we plan on installing into a real 914-6 with a missing engine.

Maybe start a musuem of automotive abominations? Separate wings for manufacturer and amatuer nightmares!

One man's butchery is another man's filet mignon.

Um I guess.

I've got to stop coming to this page- the more I look at it, the more it's growing on me

There's probably enough plastic in that thing to start a toy factory

and that plastic is already cracking!

I bought this car for parts, as it has a REAL 914-6 engine in it and a 911 s complete front end, those expensive Braid wheels, and the rest of the six conversion parts. I am going to remove all of that, install a four cylinder engine, five lug conversion, aftermarket econo fuchs repros and sell it to someone with a dream of driving a whateveritis

Quick Reply: Lots of work on 914, but...
