Default Porsche 914 Restomod Transcends 914-ness

This 1974 Porsche 914 has been thoroughly restomodded to where it's barely holding onto that 914 identity.

"They dropped in a 3.2 Carrera long block rebuilt to stock specs, which replaced the 2.0 inline six"

They are "requesting offers in the 105 range".

I would love to own a Canepa car some day.

Yeah Muss I noticed that too- a '74 never had a stock six and as far as I know, I don't remember too many 914's with an inline six!!

Maybe someone modded it with a slant 6 from an old Plymouth???

What does this car have to do with Nickleback, other than absolutely nothing?

No disrespect for the slant six! A friend of mine had a replica 300SL gullwing with a slant six in it! Looked ok from about 30'...

One of, if not, the most incredible 914's out there. Jaw dropping for sure.

To be clear however, Canepa didn't build this "masterpiece" as the front page story makes it appear; https://rennlist.com/articles/porsch...ends-914-ness/
I just want to make sure credit goes where credit is due.
I assume Canepa bought it within a year from the last owner (KG of Oregon), who along with Tobey, had the car fully completed.

The 914 was at Cars & Coffee Oregon last year when KG was talking about selling it. A simply stunning 914. And anyone who knows KG and his Porsche's knows that they are babied beyond belief.

I hope it goes to a loving home!

That is a beautiful car. Modded sure, burt really nicely done. The 3.2 is a perfect motor for that car.
