914-6 sportomatic carpet
Since we have a sportomatic here, we know exactly what the drivers floor carpet looks like. THAT enabled us to make an exact duplicate from one of our old new stock drivers manual shift carpets for one of our customers. Thank you Sue for doing such superb work/Users/George/Desktop/IMG_0748.JPG

you would be bored! The first drive results in over revving the engine and hitting your head on the windshield as you hit the large brake pedal instead of the non existent clutch pedal, and grab the gearshift **** which immediately puts the car in neutral!!!!! Once around the block after getting used to it, and the thrill is gone. No heal toe, even ones grandmother can drive it!!

That has got to be a REAL rare 914!! I don't think they made more than a handfull did they??
I did drive a Sportomatic 911 (in fact bought the car for parts as it was a rust bucket- ended up with a lot of unusual Sportomatic parts) many years ago. Weird- if I remember correctly a micro switch on the gear lever would work the clutch but you still shifted it. Not worth the expense or effort in my book. VW had a similiar option on beetles...

Beautiful 914-6 sportomatic with factory Mahle alloy wheels, the lightest production wheel Porsche ever made
what happened to the clutch cable?
Where would we ever find another one of these emblems!
