At the MSDS exhibit, always cool to have some Porsche factory techs going over our innovative adaption of the 935 horizontal fan, to a twin turbo 9146.

I have heard stories from Porsche sources that the last of the 1972 916s were all built on the 914 -4 unibodies. The last of the 1972 914-6s had their ignition switches moved to the steering column . It will be interesting to view your 916s at Rennsport6 !

The 916s were all built from the four cylinders, all 1971 four cylinder models. Brutus the prototype was the only one built from a 914-6. One can see the hand fabrication and welding of the engine mount and oil hose hook on the 916s. The 72 914-6 models all had a 914-4 steering column with the resultant switch on that column, as well as a 914-4 two speed wiper motor
